What""s the difference between k, ok, and okay?
They all mean the same thing, but only one (okay) is standard English. You may say, “K,” “Okay,” or “OK.”
The last two will sound exactly the same, a person in a hurry may think he’s saying “Okay,” but it will sound more like “K.” Just as a person intending to say “Did you eat?” will say, “Jeet?” (But no one would write it like that.)
In formal writing, use “Okay.”
Texting? Use OK or K. And rue the fact that texting is confusing the language.
